Product Description

Being offered today is a high grade 1947 D (Denver) Walking Liberty Half Dollar. This beautiful coin is graded by NGC in Mint State (MS) 65.

Silver is hitting record highs. It’s up 26.39% since January 2024.

The coin is starting to show signs of grey toning all over the obverse and reverse. It is going to develop more coloring with age. Grey to black is the highest color on the spectrum.

This coin is an unusually nice high-end survivor with a sharp strike. On the obverse of the coin, all of the lines on Miss Liberty’s dress, the lettering, the flowers, and the sun and rays are all well-defined. On the reverse, the eagle and all the feathers as well as the lettering are all well-defined also.

The obverse features an allegoric figure of Liberty holding olive branches against a rising sun. The reverse depicts an eagle with rising wings clutching a pine tree branch.

All of this adds to its visual eye appeal. Just what a coin in this condition should look like. Please see the pictures for details.

This note is encased and sealed by NGC. Every NGC certified coin is backed by the industry leading NGC guarantee, which provides greater protection for both BUYERS AND SELLERS.
