The Gamages Of London Ladies Maunder Nebula Pink is inspired by Annie S. D. Maunder, the first woman welcomed into the Royal Astronomical Society, despite initial resistance, and who made her name recording indisputable evidence of sunspot movement from the poles to the Earth’s equator. Her imagination and determination complemented one another wonderfully, and played a substantial part in cementing Annie as a crucial figure in British astronomy.
It is powered by an elegantly precise Swiss Quartz movement that operates the hands. The space dust-pink dial is appropriately bare aside from a single diamond in the 12 position and a barely there swirling pattern that serves as an intriguing focus point from any vantage.
The rose gold IP case is detailed with the Gamages Of London logo engraved stainless steel caseback, and the cotton-pink leather strap hints at the mysteries that still lie well beyond our solar system that captivated Maunder’s fascination with our galaxy and beyond.
