1990's U.S. Proof Coin Sets // Decade Set (54 Coins)
Product Description
Offered here is a decade collection of 1990’s United States proof sets issued from 1990-1999. Each set contains 1 Lincoln cent, 1 Jefferson nickel, 1 Roosevelt dime, and 1 Kennedy half dollar. The 1990-1998 sets also contain 1 Washington quarter with the eagle reverse, whereas the 1999 set contains the first 5 quarters in the 50 State Quarters series (1999-2008). You will receive 10 sets in the original government packaging, one from each of the years 1990-1999, for a total of 54 coins.
Since the early 1800’s, the U.S. Mint has issued special proof coins minted exclusively for collectors. These coins are the finest quality ever produced. The blanks are specially treated, hand-polished, and cleaned before being struck with specially polished dies at least twice to ensure great detail. The resulting coins are of exceptional quality and have deeply mirrored finishes with intricate designs. In 1936, the Mint began assembling proof coins into prepackaged sets. Nearly a century later, these annual coin sets continue to be one of the most popular ways to collect coins. Although the packaging has changed over time, the basic concept remains— each proof set contains one example of every coin minted during a given year.

FAQ
These are minted in San Francisco.
Why are all coins facing to the left and the penny is the only one that faces to the right? That's the way the portrait on the coin was designed over 110 years ago and we have no control over that decision.
