Product Description
The GlenDronach distillery is a Scottish whisky distillery located near Forgue, by Huntly, Aberdeenshire, in the Highland whisky district. Each year, their Master Blender hand-selects casks from The GlenDronach’s collection dating back to 1968. They include barrels, hogsheads, puncheons, and butts. These bottlings are the envy of whisky enthusiasts who seek them out to complete their prized collections and are exclusive to the US market.
This 27 year old single cask expression comes from The GlenDronach Single Cask Release and is limited to just 451 bottles. Matured in a sherry butt, this Speyside single malt is bottled at 52.9% ABV.
Tasting Notes
— Nose: An old chestnut cabinet opens to the scent of sandalwood and beeswax.
— Palate: On following the scent deeper, discover date oil and spiced bramble pie on an earthy forest floor. Orange-laced mocha, spiced mincepies and dark bramble jam carried on a bed of leather-velvet, leaving date oil and prunes.
— Finish: Rich and unctuous long-lasting finish.
